Breaking Bad gets a remake

With a Latin infusion.

Peep the trailer below.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

According to the Interweb, Metástasis will take place in  Columbia with Diego Trujillo playing lead Walter Blanco and Robert Urbina taking on Jose (aka Jesse).

For Trujillo this is not his first time in an adaption, he played Rex Van De Kamp in Amas de Casa Desperadas (the Latin version of Desperate Housewives) and even made an apperance on A Corazón Abierto (the Columbian remake of Grey's Anotomy).

And instead of cooking meth in an RV, they cook in a school bus.

Hmmmmm. Hmmmmm. I dunno I just dunno, why mess with a masterpiece, why make an adaption of an already successful show. Why can't they just show the original and bang out some subtitles.

Most remakes seem to lose the appeal that made them great in the first time; so I don't understand this one. I get that they want to bring a great story to a wider audience but from watching the trailer alone, it doesn't even tip the iceberg of the greatness that was the original. I mean a school bus really, that was one of the most iconic features from the show!

Who knows it might do really well and possibly bring a new audience racing to watch to the original.
