Olympic fever!

I have suddenly become overcome with a ray of emotions.

BBC

The London Olympics 2012 has now officially ended (with the exception of the Paralympics that is; roll on August 29th)

As a former sceptic, I am so surprised by how involved I became with this years games. Okay not by actually participating but by watching and I'm not usually a sport watcher.

Up until to a couple of weeks ago I was like, do I really care about this big spectacle? Erm hells no. It's just a  big hype. But as soon as I saw the opening ceremony I was hooked, it was like a big light shone through me and all of a sudden I felt a big sense of British pride.

It really has been an amazing summer of sports; the athletes really have inspired a nation and I'm sure up and down the country there are young people all around dreaming of being the next set of team GB'rs in Rio 2016. Even I have bitten the sporting bug, oh how I wish I had taken my head teachers advice in secondary school and taken more of an interest in P.E, who knows what could have happened and where I would be today. But it's not too late, who knows what could happen in 4 years.

So London 2012 I bid you adieu, it's been 7 long years of waiting, but you really did live up to it.

New! The sucker consumer in me....

As you know I love a good new product and I'm a sucker for anything with a 'new' label on it; so you wouldn't be surprised to hear that my eyes lit up this Thursday when they landed on a green bottle labelled Ribena Apple. Okay, okay so it's not like Ribena Apple is new per se, I mean I do know it's been out for years in carton form..... but dude it's in a bottle!!!!

So I've had a taste, first time I actually liked it. But second time, it tasted a bit weird, sorta milky; however I did get it from some dusty corner shop so that might have been the reason.

Promethe-uuuuugh-so-bored

You know that feeling of major disappointment you get when you go and see a movie that you've been so excited about and end up leaving so deflated as soon as the credits start to roll?

Well that's the feeling I got when I watched Prometheus.

I was utterly, utterly disappointed, I expected way much more. It just goes to show that trailers and there 'sucking-in' music are liars!

The film just kept getting worse and worse as it went along, all throughout I was hoping that something amazing would happen and it just didn't, it just didn't.

Oh and the deaths were totally lackluster, even though I'm not big on horror, I wanted way more gore, the  featured deaths were so boring and I felt like a lot more of the deaths could have been focused on.

And I totally wasn't feeling Noomi Rapace's English accent, it kept slipping and made me lose focus, I kept thinking  'is she supposed to be English' all the way through.

The winner of this movie was definitely Michael Fassabanger. When people go on and on about a certain actor, I tend to shrug them off as I don't want to fall for 'the hype'. But seeing Fassbander in this movie gave thruth to all these claims I've been hearing for so long. All I can say is 'WOW'! No fo' reals, dude is an amazing actor.

But even Mikey couldn't save this for me. I give it 6/10

Food glorious food...

So I really wanna get onto this healthy eating tip * I say whilst munching on my 2nd tuna melt*.

My friend put me to shame when ringing me whilst doing a healthy food shop and it got me to thinking, "Damn Girl you eat sh*t!"

Earlier this year and back in 2010, I really got into eating healthy and it did feel good, I was eating wholesome meals and feeling satisfied. Now you will find me nipping into fast food restaurants, tucking into meal deals and eating toast. Oh toast glorious toast, how I adore you, how I've become so lazy and eat you as a last resort because I can't be bothered to get up and make a proper meal. I really am unhealthy (and wonder why I don't wake up with washboard abs and slender thighs *sigh*).

Bread is my friend and my enemy, when I can't  find something  in the house to eat, my trusty bread is always there to satisfy me, but it doesn't 10 minutes later I'm ravenously hungry and then I start to pick.

Oh this story could go on, but its time for a change, I want to be healthy both on the outside and in. So I am going to research healthy recipes and make a healthy food shopping list and then go on a healthy food shop.

Let the healthy food lifestyle commence!

Beware men with big glasses and weird moustaches

Tonight Channel 4 again quenched my thirst for 'good films that I missed in the cinema' with The Lovely Bones.

What a film! What a film! And again what a film!

I experienced a cauldron of emotions; anger, sadness, fear and anger again.

I have to get up out of my seat *okay well my bed* and give Saoirse Ronan a friggin' round of applause, she is an amazing actress; her portrayal of Susie Salmon was literally heartbreaking. I knew her character was going to die but I still found myself shouting at the tellybox and willing her to run home.

Stanley Tucci as serial killer George Harvey was so friggin' scary, he had me so convinced. I can't believe that this is the same dude that was in The Devil wears Prada.

All in all I loved this film, it was so well put together, really made me think about the safety of my kid bro and sisters and even myself in today's society.
