Bring on the 90s

I've always been a huge supporter of the 90s era...possibly because i only experinced 2 years of the 80s and i wasn't old enough to understand the music and the culture so i feel a bit of a sellout when i rep the 80s. Fair enough i was born in the 80s (1988 REPRESENTING HAHA!) so i am officially an 80s baby but i grew up in the 90s so technically i'm a 90s child. So to cut a long story short there is this compliation album that has just come out called Big Tunes Back 2 The 90s

Just listening to the majority of the tracklist takes me back to the glory days when i had not
one care on my mind...Happy Days! This is an album that i need to own. My personal rating
stamp on this slice of 90s pie is 8/10.

So I've been the great 2...1 for about 7 months and what can i say i have achieved in this short but long time...absolutely nothing...OK with the exception that i graduated with a 2.1 (yup bowing down and curtsying from your round of applause). I have just realised that it is so tough being 21, the law and government and blah di blah says ur officially an adult (but unofficially u are actually a full blown adult at 25);but you are still considered to be a young person. Yay! i hear you 21 and soon to be 21 year old's cheer! But when it comes to looking for activities for a 'young' 21 year old to do especially in the summer when you have just come out of full time education you find yourself without a job due to forces that are out of your reach and out of your control and you feel like a bum for not doing anything with yourself (breathe)...there is nothing thee everything stops at 19 and you are sitting there being chastised by the public for not doing anything with yourselves...its not a win win situation mate gosh...i think that there needs to be more activities for people that fall into the 20-25 age group bracket...whose with me i think this calls for a revolution don't u?

My vow!!!

Ok so i am making a vow from this day forward to make at least one post a week. I made this blog to air my thoughts and opinions on things and i have since been neglecting it. So from this day forth you will see a brand spanking new post at least once a week that i promise (unless due to unforeseen circumstances and forces beyond my control i am not able to do so).

A Lil Rant

So like I'm graduating on Thursday, but i am so p'd off if you see how much money i have spent on this ting...you would be like why didn't u just get the certificate and bun the ceremony...i am soo angry right now...i went to go and get my hair did...tell me why my hairdresser wants to now tell me after he has fixed the hair to my head that the price has gone up from £60 to £90...he let me off £10 ... but still i am an..ger...ry...looks like I'm on the look out for a new hairdresser and just when i was getting comfy too! But yeah total figure of stupid graduation will be out soon...aww great to get that off my chest starting to feel a bit better now....!!!

A Lil Rant!

Don't you just hate it when you like a song...and have high hopes for the video and when it comes along you are utterly disappointed? This is the case with Drake's new video...i said before i had fallen in love with the song but i have just watched the video and it feels like a chunk of my heart has been ripped off. OK i know its a bit deep but hey when you're rinsing out a song over and over, think damn this is my ringtone! This is my ringtone! You're gonna expect high quality visuals. And what disappoints me even more is that i have heard that it is a video collab with none other than Kanye West! I have real love for KW, but this video has shocked me and i refuse to believe that he has had anything to do with it.


I mean c'mon this is a song that girls and women have fallen in love with. Closing their eyes and saying this is my song! How the hell can you throw a song that means so much to so many females and then show them in misogynous ways in the video. Wow i really love to watch a video where it opens with women with large breast swinging in slow motion... and when i close my eyes and visualise this song i see women covered with sweat patches and booty shots...Great stuff! Oh how that makes me just wanna run down to HMV and buy the CD. Gosh there are so much boob shots, just breasts bouncing everywhere it makes me so mad, i thought we were in a postmodern age where visuals in music videos were becoming more creative and unique. I guess i was wrong and the power of the male gaze lives on. The shot of all the women running up the stairs...bounce...bounce...bounce...i mean was that really necessary. The only thing that excited me about this video was seeing sexy Fab's cameo (oh and Trey Songz and others were in it too!). It is so cheesy.... corny... mate I'm running out of words...if i had to give this video a rating i would have to give it 0/5 no lies I'm actually disgusted, i mean this is why i got 'B' on my dissertation coz the way women are treated in music videos is disgusting.

My overall feelings towards the video= very very poor
However i still like the song and every time i listen to it, in my head my own video will play rather than that peice of ****!

Jeremih Birthday Sex Video

So what's my verdict, i find it quite boring. It's one of them bait RnB videos, tall slim model draped sexually around the artist...blah blah blah... so pasé...I'm feeling the song don't get me wrong, but i just feel that 3:54 minutes of my life have been taken away from me, into something which i can plainly say and repeat again... a world of sexual boredom. This is a post-modern age try doing something more risque...something that will keep me locked on...the only reason why i kept watching is as i said before i actually really like the song...so my final verdict on the video is a wet 1/5 sorry Jeremih work harder next time...lol
