Watchmen!!!

Yay! I'm so excited finally i am going to watch Watchmen. OK i know it came out here in the UK on like Friday, but hey some of us are true friends and are waiting for some of our friends to finish off their work before going to watch it...but anyhoo before i get off the point...i am so excited...because not so long ago i used to be a graphic novel reader...yes i admit i was...and one of the graphic novels i read...was in deed Watchmen...review will be up i a hot minute after i go to watch it.

Reminiscing

Jus getting my reminiscing moment on. Loving my 90's boy bands-5ive OMG how i loved them. I had a little girl crush on Scott Robinson...omg how i loved him...thoughts in my head about when i would meet him...and what i would say yadiyah...notes about him at the back of my school books...me mixing my name with his last name...you know the usual lol...i was devastated when i found out that he was married...i just didnt wanna believe it...but yea how i loved 5ive...they were my fav boy band...loved all of their songs...'If You're Getting Down' 'Slam Dunk Da Funk' 'Until The Time Is Through' (my all time fav) 'Don't Wanna Let You Go' are just a few of my fav songs...i could be here all day...but yea just getting my reminiscing on...

Video Vixens

Ok so I'm doing my dissertation on Video Girls yea.... so i was watching some video called Dreamworlds 3: Desire, Sex and Power...and boi i was surprised by wat i saw and heard...boi lets just say that i was educated...i never knew that there were so many themes on female sexuality in these music videos...you watch these videos and you dont think anything of them...ok so there are them ones that think that these women are disgraceful and that they are being exploited blah blah blah...but you don't think about it deeply, in the sense that they ooze sexuality and not sexuality in a good way...basically this video was talking about the diffs between male and female sexulaity...yadiyah...that women are highly sexualised creatures that need men and can't live without men...and when men aren't around they find other objects like fruit, ice cream cones etc (anything phallic) to replace men...or they just break down...we see so many shots of them sitting in crumpled heap in bathrooms, walls etc crying...and men come along as knights in shining armour to clear their tears etc...It goes on to say that the female body makes the women seem human-less and having just shots of their body highlights them as objects.

But hey, no disrespect to any of these girls...i say do what you do...just as long as you are safe...then wat u do is ur business...

Amber Rose

Why is everyone hating on Kanye's (rumoured) girlfriend Amber Rose. I actually think she's quite cool...shes breaking all style boundaries...what isit cos she's got a low hair cut...so what!!...boi i think that gives her more of an edge...so if she had longer hair would people be chatting...and whats wid all the hate on how she dresses, people are so fast to chat bout how Kate Moss looks and Sienna Miller and their so-called innovative and individual styles...but when someone who clearly has some talent when it comes to what they pick up out of their wadrobe people are too fast to chat and hate on them and criticise them...mate if i had style like my girl Amber, trust i'd be flexing that look errday...ya get me...so big ups to Amber Rose...true style Goddess...

Just Thinking!

It's been a long time since i blogged last, but hey been getting my education on and turning sweet 21. Yup indeed it was my birthday about 2 weeks back, i enjoyed myself thoroughly with close friends and fam...i participated in a game of Lazar Tag and...yup i can now finally as a new 21 year old say i played my first game of bowling...and i was actually good...i came about fourth outright but hey there were about 16 of us so i say that was an achievement!! Anyhoo back to the topic at large...was just thinking that this blog needs some sprucing up, and the best way i think would to....maybe get a banner made or sumink....but a cheap one...most preferably a free one...credit crunch...hah...ha...ha

OMG!

OMG! Just found out today there is some thirteen year old boy who has become a dad! OK it shouldn't come as surprise to anyone in this day and age, coz there has been lots of thirteen year old girls even younger becoming mothers; but i guess u know its a hype of the media. What scares me is that he was only 12 when the baby was conceived that's 3 years older than my younger brother, and he was quoted saying that

"We wanted to have the baby but were worried how people would react..."
"I thought it would be good to have a baby."

Nah mate that's too scary, what the hell is wrong with the kids of today having sex...they think that sex is just a minor and are too fast to go ahead and try it out...they don't think of the repercussions. At thirteen i was more concerned with trying to collect as many Pokemon cards as possible. SEX IS THE NEW FASHIONABLE ACTIVITY! These kids need to be educated that sex is not as fun as they seem to think, there are both emotional and physical consequences, and it is not something that should be taken lightly...

Arrgh this topic just pisses me off because these kids act like its so easy, like their gonna be looking after some doll. No these babies are real life human beings. When you ave kids you have responsibilities and you have to give up certain things. At thirteen the only thing i was concerned about was whether I would get detention if i was late with homework. There are people that are as old as 40 that are still struggling! Please someone tell me how these two little kids are gonna cope? At 13 and 15 they are still kids, who should be living their lives and experiencing new things...

OMG! This story doesn't seem as straightforward as it is. Apparently this 13 year old boy may in fact not be the father...there are two more possible candidates; a 16 and 14 year old who were both quoted saying that they were allowed to share a bed with the girl, in her own bed...blah blah blah....wateva still don't make it right!
